Protocol Title Parkinson's - Research Study for Individuals Taking Levodopa Who Are Experiencing End of Dose Wearing OFF
Summary This trial is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the investigational product tozadenant as adjunctive therapy in levodopa-treated patients with end of dose wearing off.

Tozadenant has a novel mechanism of action which, if successful, could represent the first new treatment modality for Parkinson's disease in more than 20 years.

Patients enrolled in the tozadenant (SYN115-CL02) trial will be randomized to one of five groups: four fixed SYN115 doses or placebo. All participants will be carefully monitored by the trial site team.

The trial will last approximately 20 weeks and all study-related office visits, laboratory work and medication are at no cost to qualified participants.

Age Range Age 30 to Age 80
Purpose This study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the investigational medication tozadenant as adjunctive therapy in levodopa treated Parkinson's patients with end of dose wearing off.
Who is Eligible? To participate you must:
  • Be between the ages of 30 and 80
  • Have a good response to levodopa and be taking at least 4 doses of a levodopa containing medication per day.
  • Be taking levodopa continuously for at least the previous 12 months and experiencing some OFF time per day (24 hour clock)
